These are the last ten years before the first World War.
In these days, some more engine types were developed, such as an extension to four-valves, overhead-valves, overhead camshafts and even the hemispherical combustion chamber or the so called hemi-head.
With the Grand Prix racers and engines from 1906 on, the likes of Renault, Richard-Brasier, Peugeot and Mercedes cars appeared, as well as their American counterparts such as Frontenac and Stutz.
